About
The barber’s on Woodland Lane
Luxury barbering in the heart of Chapel Allerton — independent, run by hand, and exactly as friendly as the reviews make out.

Five years in
It started with a set of keys and a lockdown
Butler’s opened on Woodland Lane right after the first lockdown lifted — and it’s been a journey ever since.
What began as one chair has grown into a navy-walled shop with bulb-lit mirrors, reclaimed wood, a wall of framed prints and a French bulldog who runs the welcome committee.
Five years on, the same care goes into every cut — whether it’s a school-run trim or an hour-long wet shave.
Chapel Allerton
Half a decade of fine cuts
Built quietly, one good haircut at a time — and a regular book that keeps the chairs full.
People come back to Butler’s because nothing about it feels like a production line. You get a seat, a good chat and a cut that’s actually yours.

Butler’s Grooming
Our own aftershave, on the shelf
Butler’s Grooming eau de parfum — Number 1 and Silver Mountains — sit alongside the styling kit we use in the chair.
Ask about them at the desk, or pick one up on your way out. It’s the same quality we put into the cuts: nothing flashy, just good.
